Bakerview Nursery HOME
We at Bakerivew Nursery & Garden Center appreciate your interest in recycling.

Yard Waste, such as grass clippings, garden trimmings, limbs (eight inches or less in diameter and less than seven feet in length), vines, leaves, and other natural vegetation can be brought to the Clean Green Transfer Station.  The transfer station is located on Woburn Street near the corner of Woburn and Yew Street; the service fee for this is $4 per load (pick-up truck full, or trailer, or garbage bag/can).  Yard waste dropped off here is ground up and made into compost to be used for various city projects, so please do not bring material you believe may be in any way contaminated or mixed with non-organic waste.  See their website for more information.

Plastic Nursery Pots (large, hard plastic or softer, smaller pots or cell block liners) are accepted at Northwest Recycling at 1419 C Street near the intersection of C Street and Holly Street.  There is no charge but they ask that you wash the dirt and debris out of the pots before bringing them in.  More information is available on their website.  If you  have plastic pots left over from your project you might also consider finding other uses for them around the home or contacting the good folks at the ReStore to see if they would like some for reuse projects.  Alternatively, if you have built up a nice collection you could put a free ad on craigslist that might encourage someone to pick them up right from your driveway to be used again for their project.

Reduce.  Reuse.  Recycle.
